演講英文版
Over one billion people travel to global destinations, according to the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) barometer. Southeast Asia, Japan, and mainland China, especially, drive tourism growth in the Asia-Pacific region which now accounts for over 22+ of the international tourist traffic worldwide.
Many destination, DMOs or city governments in developing nations are struggling with tactical tourism planning and execution, market research, low-quality signage and interpretation (i.e., “Chinglish”), and failure to leverage social media and the Internet.
In our times cities and urban areas play more and more important role as places providing living conditions, leisure, entertainment and working opportunities. Besides, urban areas became the primary destination for domestic and foreign tourists alike. We can say that the so called Tourist Town became a tourist product. Tourist Towns make breakthrough in ecological preservation and cultural inheritance. We can observer, however, many successful tourism-oriented town development models.
T20 represents the most famous 20 Tourist Towns and T has triple meanings of Top, Tourist and Town. The summit provides intelligence support for sustainable development through initiating and founding the “T20 World Top Tourist Town Alliance”. I would like to say thank you for Jilin Provincial People’s Government and International Tourism Studies Association (ITSA), Jilin Provincial Tourism Administration and Changbai Administration Committee, BES Tourism Consulting Group and Tuniu Tourism Internet for working hard to make this great event happen.
